It was a dark and stormy night. Well, perhaps the weather wasn’t quite the same as when Snoopy started his stories, but it was dark and there was some rain.
We didn’t get to see the moon, in all its harvest fullness, but the weather was reasonably warm, the wind calm and the rain had mostly passed before the run started.
The rain and construction on the southern extent of James St, resulted in a change to the course for 2013. As far as I know, there have been three different courses for this run, each of the past three years!
Personally, I enjoyed the course. The footing seemed better than the course last year. But, a few folks got lost on the return route, taking a shortcut down Lake St to get back to the Steak Pit early. Feedback on the course (which of the last three was best, suggestions, etc) is welcome.
Fifteen runners participated in the event. Robb and Jeannette helped direct the runners around the corners – thank you!
Ion Designs graciously donated some reflective iron ons as door prize giveaways. Be sure to check out their website if you are doing any running in the dark. They’ll help you be seen!
That is it for the RRRC running events until 2014. It’s been a great year. Thanks to all those who have helped out!
