The Details
When: Thursday nights (weekly), 18:15 race time. Course overview and instructions at 18:10. Series will begin August 21 and end October 2.
Course: Short and long course at each location. Long course will be 2 loops of the course. Courses will NOT be marked. Maps will be made available electronically
Timing: Self timed. In order to be eligible for the evening, be signed in by 18:15. Timing is on the honour system. Any deviation from the course should be addressed by the runner as a self-assessed penalty
Aid Stations: None
Course Marshall: Member in charge for the evening. This person will be participating as well
Who: RRRC members. Guests are welcome to come for an evening race, but the series is planned for members. Buy your membership here
Cost: Free for RRRC members
Registration: None required. Just arrive in time to get your name recorded
Results: Will be posted online weekly here

The Trails
- Valeport area trail – August 21
- Start from private residence, then head up the hill and hit the trail.
- To get to start location, travel north on Hwy 20 from Craven. Across from the Valeport Dam, turn right into the driveway.
- Trail is in good condition.
- Some nettles alongside the trail, but are avoidable.
- Distance is 5 km. Long optionis 2x around
- GPX file of the course. You can use this in Google Earth or on a GPS.
- Start from private residence, then head up the hill and hit the trail.
- Wascana Trails – August 28
- Meet at the big map near the entrance to the parking lot. Directions to Wascana Trails.
- Sections will be slippery when wet. An alternate course may be devised in the event of rain.
- 4 km. Long course option is 2x around. A detailed Wascana Trails course map (PDF) with directions is available for download
- GPX file of the course. You can use this in Google Earth or on a GPS
- Lumsden Trans Canada Trail – September 4
- Start at parking area off Grid #641 West of Lumsden. Turn right off James street, just south of the tracks in Lumsden, then follow #641 until the pavement ends, after about 300m of gravel, there is a trail map on the north side of the road.
- Distance is 4.2 km, 8.4 km for long course.
- Trail is mostly grass covered and has been mowed. The mowing schedule is not known.
- Course map shows only one direction, but will be run in both directions. An overview of the Lumsden area TCT is available along with a detailed map.

- Valeport area trail II – September 11 (repeat August 21)
- Start from private residence, then head up the hill and hit the trail.
- To get to start location, travel north on Hwy 20 from Craven. Across from the Valeport Dam, turn right into the driveway.
- Trail is in good condition.
- Some nettles alongside the trail, but are avoidable.
- Distance is 5 km. Long option will complete the nature trail 2x, then return to start.
- GPX file of the long course. You can use this in Google Earth or on a GPS.
- Start from private residence, then head up the hill and hit the trail.
- Wascana Trails II – September 18
- Meet at the big map near the entrance to the parking lot. Directions to Wascana Trails.
- Sections will be slippery when wet. An alternate course may be devised in the event of rain.
- Exact course undetermined, but guaranteed we will run some trails. A trail map for Wascana Trails can be found here, from Tourism Saskatchewan.
- Douglas Park Hill – September 25
- Same course as Offroad Syndicate (they race on a different day)
- Meet at the observation deck (start/finish location)
- Likely impassable when wet, so an alternative course may be used. Be sure to be subscribed to the blog or Facebook for last minute updates.
- Distance is 4 km. Long option is 2x around.

- White Butte trail – October 2
- Meet at the maps by the primary trailhead. Click for directions to White Butte.
- Potentially wet and muddy – be prepared
- Distance is 5.44 km. Only one loop due to early sunset.
- The course will be similar, but slightly different than last year’s White Butte course.
- This will be the last week for the 2014 series.
